Uninstalling

Danger

Uninstalling StarkOne removes the panel software. It does not automatically delete websites, databases, or user home directories - you must remove those manually.

Via CLI

starkone-cli uninstall

The uninstaller:

  1. Stops and disables starkone.service
  2. Removes /usr/sbin/starkone-panel and /usr/sbin/starkone-cli
  3. Removes /usr/share/starkone/
  4. Optionally removes /etc/starkone/ (prompted)

Manual Uninstall

systemctl stop starkone
systemctl disable starkone
rm -f /usr/sbin/starkone-panel /usr/sbin/starkone-cli
rm -rf /usr/share/starkone/
# Optionally remove config and database:
rm -rf /etc/starkone/

What Stays

After uninstalling, the following remain on the server:

  • All website home directories (/home/<user>/)
  • MySQL databases and users
  • nginx/apache vhosts (/etc/nginx/conf.d/, /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/)
  • SSL certificates (/etc/letsencrypt/)

To fully clean up, remove those manually or reinstall StarkOne and use it to delete websites first.
