Docker Manager¶
Run and manage Docker containers from the panel - no command line needed.
Enabling¶
Enable Docker Manager from Plugins. If the Docker engine is not installed, enabling the plugin installs it automatically (official install script, with distro packages as fallback) and starts the service.
What you can do¶
Containers tab
- See every container with a clear Running / Stopped pill, its image, published ports, and live CPU / memory usage.
- One-click Start / Stop / Restart / Logs / Delete per container.
- + Run Container opens a simple wizard: type an image (e.g.
nginx:latest), optionally add ports (8080:80), environment variables (KEY=value) and folders (/srv/data:/data), pick what happens after a crash or reboot, and click Run. Only the image is required.
Images tab
- Pull any image with live download progress.
- See image sizes and delete unused ones.
- ▶ Run next to an image pre-fills the run wizard.
Clean up (on the status card) runs docker system prune - removes stopped
containers, unused networks and dangling images. Running containers are never
touched.
Security¶
- Requires the Docker permission (Containers group in the user editor), and the plugin must be enabled. Superusers have it implicitly.
- Every Docker command is executed with argument lists (never a shell), and all form inputs are validated server-side so nothing can be smuggled in as a Docker CLI flag.
- Deleting a container erases anything not stored in a mounted folder - the confirmation dialog says so explicitly.
API¶
Endpoints live under /api/docker/* (status, containers CRUD + actions + logs,
images list/pull/delete, prune). All require a superuser session and the plugin
to be enabled.
